Massive earthquake of 6.4 magnitude hits Davao City in Philippines

A massive 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck the southern Philippines at around 11 am, centred near Davao City on the island of Mindanao, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). No tsunami warning was issued, and no immediate damage was reported. Earlier in October, Eastern Mindanao was jolted by double earthquakes of magnitude 7.4 and 6.7 that killed at least ten people.
