A massive fire broke out in central Kolkata on Wednesday, January 14, engulfing several furniture shops on BB Ganguly Street. Ten fire engines were deployed to control the blaze. The street, home to numerous furniture and plywood shops in North Kolkata, witnessed a major disruption as firefighters worked to contain the fire.
