A massive fire broke out at Renuka Oil Mill in Kerala's Kozhikode, destroying coconut oil, copra and stored materials worth several lakhs of rupees. Around 15 fire tenders battled the blaze for hours, while firefighters continued cooling operations. A lorry parked inside the premises was also destroyed. No casualties were reported as the mill was closed.
