A massive fire broke out at an oil refinery a day before its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Rajasthan's Balotra. Videos showed thick plumes of black smoke rising from the refinery as several firefighters were deployed to douse the fire. The refinery built at a cost of over ₹79,450 crore is India’s first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex.
