Massive gold-rich underwater deposit discovered beneath Pacific

Chinese scientists have said they found a large seabed deposit rich in gold and silver in a back-arc basin in the western Pacific, within China's exclusive economic zone. Samples contained up to 15.4 grams of gold and 1,271 grams of silver per tonne of ore. Researchers said that the hydrothermal field has world-class polymetallic sulphide potential.
