Several private medical colleges in India have been found offering admissions on seats reserved for Non-Residential Indians (NRIs), using fake certificates and documents. Admissions for nearly 18,000 MBBS and postgraduate medical seats were offered through fraudulent means, including reusing an NRI student's paperwork for multiple admissions. ED and External Affairs Ministry have exposed the scam.
