A massive sea creature with vivid colouring has been found near Japan coast and has been confirmed to be a new species. The species has been named Paragoniastrea variabilis, or the variable encrusting coral. Variable encrusting corals have a smooth but rather uneven surface, researchers said, adding that their colouring is "highly variable" ranging from yellow to red to green.
