For the first time, a massive reservoir of water - three times the size of Earth's oceans - have been located hundreds of miles underneath the Earth’s surface in United States. However, the water is not in the familiar liquid form; instead the ingredients for water are bound up in rock. This was found by researchers from Northwestern University.
