Scientists have discovered that the weak region in Earth's magnetic field over South Atlantic has exploded in size. Using 11 years of data from European Space Agency's Swarm satellite constellation, scientists found the South Atlantic Anomaly has grown by nearly half the size of continental Europe since 2014. The anomaly was first identified southeast of South America in 19th century.
