The alleged mastermind behind the ₹400-crore Citibank scam of 2010, who was lodged in Bhondsi prison, has died at a hospital in Delhi. Shivraj Puri was suffering from tuberculosis. Puri had allegedly forged documents and transferred ₹400 crore from various customers to fictitious accounts while he worked as a relationship manager with Citibank.
