Standing Committee chairperson Satya Sharma proposed a budget of ₹16,697.56 crore for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) for FY27. The budget focuses on creating dog shelters in all 12 zones, controlling air pollution through ground-level initiatives, and improving sanitation and waste management. It was the civic body's first-ever surplus budget with a projected income of ₹17,044.06 crore.
