MCD suspends junior engineer over animal shelter demolition

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi suspended a Junior Engineer (Building), Outer North Zone, over the demolition of animal welfare activist Jagriti Mishra's under-construction shelter and gaushala on October 24. The action follows CM Rekha Gupta's meeting with Mishra, during which she assured a JE inquiry, police case, DM assistance, and ₹5 lakh from CM Relief Fund.
