MEA says UN rights office remarks on CJP protests undermine its credibility

India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) accused the UN Human Rights Office of “extreme selectivity” in its remarks on the detention of protesters in Delhi during CJP-led protests. The MEA said such remarks undermine the international body’s credibility. “If they continue on this path, it will lead to loss of faith in multilateralism,” the ministry added.
