Measles vaccine has saved 2 crore lives since 2000

According to a World Health Organisation report, vaccination against measles has saved an estimated 2.03 crore lives between 2000 and 2015, marking a 79% worldwide decrease in deaths caused by the infectious disease. However, with over 1.3 lakh deaths caused by measles in 2015, the report has also revealed that nearly 400 children still die from the disease every day.
