Medical students booked and suspended for ragging in Tripura

Eighteen second-year students at Tripura Medical College have been charged with ragging following a complaint from the college principal. The college authorities have imposed a one-year suspension from the hostel and a fine of ₹50,000 on each student involved. An FIR was filed under Section 4 of the Tripura Educational Institutions (Prevention of Ragging) Act, 1990.
