A dragonfly first recorded in Meghalaya has led to the discovery of a new species in Assam after scientists corrected a decades-old misidentification. Re-examining Sarasaeschna khasiana helped identify the Assam specimen as distinct, highlighting Northeast India’s rich and underexplored biodiversity.
