Meghalaya Deputy CM Sniawbhalang Dhar visited Lapangap village to assess tensions following Assam's plantation drive. The visit came after June 25 protests, where over 400 residents and NGOs from Lapangap and nearby villages dismantled structures and uprooted saplings planted by the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), alleging encroachment into Meghalaya’s territory.
