Meghalaya foods show promise against hypertension: Study

A NEHU study finds that traditional Meghalaya foods like Jamyrdoh, gotu kola, garlic, sesame and Sla Jarem may help lower blood pressure. Rich in antioxidants and vasodilatory compounds, these commonly eaten plants—especially when combined—offer low-cost, food-based support for managing hypertension, the researchers say.
