Meghalaya has received ₹49.2 crore under the Finance Commission grants to boost local governance. ₹27 crore in untied funds will support Autonomous District Councils, while ₹22.2 crore in tied grants will aid sanitation, waste management and water services across 816 village councils, strengthening rural development systems.
