Meghalaya is pushing for NEIGRIHMS (North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences) to be made a National Institute, promising better funding, facilities and cutting-edge treatments. Meghalaya Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh confirmed Chief Minister Conrad Sangma is in direct talks with the Centre.
