Meghalaya Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh has asked the All Khasi Meghalaya Tourist Taxi Association (AKMTA) to hold talks with Assam transporters before enforcing a ban on Assam-registered tourist taxis. He warned of reciprocal action and urged local operators to explore partnerships with home-stays and hotels instead of demanding restrictions.
