Bangladesh have appointed all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz as their new ODI captain for the next 12 months. He replaces Najmul Hossain Shanto, who will continue to serve as the Test captain. Mehidy will make his captaincy debut in the upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka in July. The 27-year-old has amassed 1,617 runs in 105 ODIs for Bangladesh.
