Melinda French Gates, American philanthropist and former wife of Bill Gates, announced on Tuesday she will be donating $1 billion (around ₹8,321 crore) over the next two years in support of women's rights. She said the money will be given to individuals and organisations working on behalf of women and families globally, including on reproductive rights in US.
