Menka Devi Singh, a doctor who's from erstwhile royal family of Sarangarh, has been named as a Lok Sabha candidate by Congress from Chhattisgarh's Raigarh. Her father, Raja Nareshchandra Singh, served as Sarangarh's ruler before independence and later became CM of undivided Madhya Pradesh. Further, Congress has fielded ex-Chhattisgarh minister Tuleshwar Singh's daughter Shashi Singh from Surguja.
