The family of a mentally ill 62-year-old Nepali woman, who had gone missing in 2018, reached Assam's Cachar after they found her to be detained at a foreigners' detention centre. The woman was detained near the India-Bangladesh border in November 2018 and was sentenced to two years in jail. The woman's family was informed of her whereabouts by an NGO.
