Mercedes-Benz announced changes to its top management, replacing CTO Markus Schaefer with head of production Joerg Burzer, as the automaker pursues cost efficiencies with a younger board. Additionally, Michael Schiebe, currently head of the high-performance division, Mercedes AMG, will become a management board member for production. Burzer will take on the CTO role from the beginning of December.
