India is intensifying its efforts to expand the scope of its Preferential Trade Agreement with the South American trade bloc MERCOSUR, as Brazil takes over its presidency this month. The issue is expected to feature prominently during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming bilateral talks with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
