Elise Mertens and Zhang Shuai won the Australian Open women's doubles title on Saturday with a victory over Anna Danilina and Aleksandra Krunic, claiming their first Grand Slam trophy as a duo. The Belgian-Chinese pair defeated the Kazakh-Serbian duo 7-6(4), 6-4 in the final. Mertens and Shuai will take home AUD 9,00,000 (around ₹2.87 crore each) for the win.
