Meta "buried" causal evidence, found during a 2020 internal research, that its products harmed users' mental health, Reuters reported, citing US court filings. The research, which analysed effect of "deactivating" Facebook and Instagram, revealed "people who stopped using Facebook for a week reported lower feelings of depression, anxiety, loneliness and social comparison", internal documents said.
