A Reuters investigation found Meta flouting its rules by allowing scam ads for a week on Facebook and Instagram, and even offering AI's help in drafting them. The ads, offering highly-improbable 14,000% annualised returns, were shown to 20,000 users in multiple countries, including India. Some ad agencies listed by Meta as "partners" even offered tips to bypass Meta's anti-scam policies.
