Meta delays new update that could allow scraping of news websites

Meta has postponed a controversial update to its commercial terms for business accounts by three weeks, moving the deadline from October 30 to November 20 without notice. The changes would give the social media giant broad powers to scrape web content linked to these accounts. The delay follows a news publishers' group urging Meta to withdraw the proposed terms.
