Meta hired CJ Mahoney as its new Chief Legal Officer. The change comes at a time when Meta is facing billion-dollar fines, data privacy investigations, and lawsuits over child safety and teen protections in Europe and US. Mahoney formerly worked as a top lawyer at Microsoft and was previously a deputy US trade representative during President Donald Trump’s first term.
