Meta has unveiled an AI-powered tool named 'MusicGen' that can generate 12 seconds of audio based on text prompts and melody samples. The tool was trained on 20,000 hours of music, including 10,000 licenced music tracks, the company said in a research paper. Meta has also released the code and models of MusicGen for open research.
