Meta had trained its AI models using thousands of pirated books even after its own lawyers warned against it, filing in multiple copyright infringement lawsuits in US said. The lawsuits, brought against Meta by comedian Sarah Silverman, Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Chabon and other prominent authors, allege Meta used their works without consent to train its AI-language model Llama.
