Mettur dam to release water for farmers from Sept 1

Tamil Nadu will release water from the Mettur Dam for farmers in the Cauvery delta districts for 45 days from September 1. The decision comes amid the ongoing Cauvery water dispute with Karnataka, which is facing water shortages. Meanwhile, KRS Dam inflows have risen to 13,758 cusecs following heavy rainfall in Kodagu and Bhagamandala over the past two days.
