The Mexican government has demanded compensation from YouTuber MrBeast for permit violation and damages. MrBeast claimed to have access to areas that are off-limits for Mexicans. President Claudia Sheinbaum said MrBeast had no such access and alleged use of Mexico's archaeological sites, to promote his chocolate brand. Locals criticised the government, saying rules should apply to everyone.
