Mice with partly human brains created

Stanford researchers created mice with human brain tissue by transplanting lab-grown cortical organoids into animals genetically engineered to lack most of their cerebral cortex. After three months, human tissue made up over 90% of mice's cortical tissue by volume and connected with their nervous systems. Researchers said the model could help study human brain development, diseases and treatments.
