Microsoft has struck a record deal with Indigo Carbon to purchase 2.85 million soil carbon credits as part of its plan to become carbon negative by 2030. The multi-year agreement, valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars, supports regenerative agriculture that helps soil capture carbon. A large share of revenue goes to participating farmers.
