Microsoft cuts Claude Code use as techies use it so much that it becomes expensive: Report

Microsoft is removing Claude Code licenses ahead of the end of the company's financial year on June 30, reports said. The company is pushing its developers working on Windows, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Surface towards its own GitHub Copilot CLI. This is being done reportedly after engineers adopted Claude Code so much that its token cost became unaffordable.
