Microsoft may be planning to cut out multiple middle management layers by laying off 5-10% of its workforce in the third week of January, HR Digest reported. The layoffs, which follow 15,000 job cuts by the software giant last year, may affect teams across Gaming, Azure and Sales. The latest layoffs may also be aimed at increasing individual contributor-to-manager ratios.
