Microsoft's new global outage triggered by cyberattack

Microsoft said a Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack triggered the global outage that affected Azure and Microsoft 365 services on Tuesday. "An error in the implementation of our defences amplified the impact of the attack rather than mitigating it," Microsoft said. The latest global outage came days after Microsoft's global outage caused by cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike's flawed update.
