Microsoft is developing a new feature called "Workplace Check-in via Wi-Fi" that could automatically update to show an employee's location to their managers when they connect to their company's Wi-Fi. While Microsoft stated the feature is disabled by default and doesn't store historical tracking data, it has raised workplace surveillance concerns. It will reportedly be launched this month.
