Microsoft announced that it will "nearly double" its budget for merit-based employee pay increases in order to retain its employees. The company said it will also increase its annual stock options by 25%. In an email to Microsoft employees, CEO Satya Nadella wrote, "Because of the amazing work you do...we're making long-term investments in each of you."
