Tech giant Microsoft approached image sharing and social media site Pinterest in recent months about a potential deal to acquire the $51 billion company, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday. The deal did not go through and the talks have stalled for now. Pinterest had previously signalled it wants to remain an independent company, the report added.
