Microsoft reportedly laid off 559 workers from its Bellevue and Redmond operations on Monday. As per The Seattle Times, this brings the total of Seattle-area cuts by Microsoft to 2,743 and implies that more than a quarter of the 10,000 cuts announced earlier this year have been in Seattle. The latest cuts reportedly targeted Microsoft's security operations.
