Despite weaknesses in the benchmark Nifty 50, the Nifty Midcap 100 index displayed relative resilience, trading marginally higher by 0.15 percent. Domestic institutional investors rotated capital out of expensive large caps and into high growth mid cap capital goods and defence enterprises, supporting localised market breadth.
