French Finance Minister Roland Lescure said Middle East tensions have cost the country up to €6 billion (around ₹66,000 crore). Bond yields have risen sharply since the conflict started, and the resulting increase in government borrowing costs alone is adding an extra €3.6 billion to the budget, he said. France has one of the largest budget deficits in the eurozone.
