Milind Deshmukh, former secretary of Servants of India Society, was granted bail in a case involving alleged financial misappropriation of ₹1.42 crore. The defence lawyer, Ujjwala Pawar, argued arrest was premature and official audit reports showed no irregularities. She maintained the case was a civil dispute and Deshmukh had not committed any offence. The bail amount was set at ₹50,000.
