Jadarite, a mineral with a chemical composition similar to Superman's Kryptonite, could help facilitate a green energy transition, according to a paper published in Nature Geoscience. If mined, the rare lithium-bearing mineral can offer "huge potential", the paper's co-author and geologist Dr Robin Armstrong said. He claimed that jadarite could power up to 90% of Europe's e-vehicles.
