Minions has become the third animated film in the history of Hollywood (after Disney's Frozen and Pixar's Toy Story 3) to cross the $1-billion mark at the worldwide box office. With this, Universal has also become the first studio with three films (Furious 7, Jurassic World, Minions) crossing $1 billion at the worldwide box office in a single year.
